How we make money

We believe in being completely upfront about how this site works and where our money comes from.

Our model: lead generation

FindMeAircon is a free service for homeowners. We help you check which UK government grants you're eligible for, then connect you with up to 3 MCS-certified installers in your area for free quotes.

Here's the important bit: we are paid by installers, not by you. When you complete our eligibility checker and request quotes, we pass your enquiry to vetted installer partners. Those installers pay us a flat fee per lead. You never pay anything, and there's no obligation to proceed with any installer.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data. Your details go only to the installers we match you with — never to third parties or data brokers.
  • We don't take a cut of your installation. Installers pay us a flat fee per lead, regardless of whether you go ahead. The price you negotiate with your installer is between you and them.
  • We don't rank installers by how much they pay. We match based on your postcode and the type of work you need. Our priority is finding you the right installer, not the highest-paying one.
  • We don't use affiliate links. We previously experimented with product affiliate links but have discontinued that approach entirely.

How grant information is handled

The grant eligibility results we show you are based purely on the answers you give in the quiz — your property type, current heating system, and location. They are not influenced by installer relationships or commercial considerations.

Why is it free for homeowners?

Because installers value qualified leads. A homeowner who has already checked their grant eligibility and is actively requesting quotes is far more valuable to an installer than a cold lead. So installers are happy to pay for the introduction — and you get a free, no-pressure service.

Are you affiliated with the government?

No. FindMeAircon is an independent service. We provide information about UK government grant schemes to help you understand what's available, but we are not part of any government body. Always check official scheme pages for the most up-to-date eligibility criteria.
